Testimonials from 2015 conference evaluations:
The conference, as always, was amazing. I was able to learn new information and techniques as well as meet wonderful like-minded people from across the country.
Workshops and speakers were excellent – presenters were all knowledgeable and mostly very charismatic and compelling. The range of topics that relate to equity provide a wide spectrum of learning experiences – from the mind-changing, 30,000-foot view on issues of race, gender and society – to the nitty-gritty details of how to structure a classroom to accommodate a student with a particular disability.
The entire conference was excellent! As a first-time attendee, I felt nothing like a first-time attendee! TheNAPE team was very welcoming and eager to broaden my scope of knowledge! The workshops were well connected to the work I do and the work my institutions focuses on! I am looking forward to April 2016!
The structure and content was appropriate for educational professionals passionate about creating equitable pathways and spaces for learning.
Great venue – the professional networking was tops!
The awareness of a wide variety of issues will help me be more mindful of demographics that continue to benefit from additional access and visibility in education.
[The conference attendees] are very smart people, so being able to benefit from that, and being in a room with all of that experience and knowledge, when it comes to diversity and equity, is a wonderful experience.
Every session I attended was full of useful information. The presenters were consistently excellent. I left feeling supported in my equity work, something I greatly needed.
