NAPE Virtual Summit Code of Conduct

We are pleased to have you join us for our 41st National Summit for Educational Equity. We have had an overwhelming response to our Summit and we are excited you are here. In an effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment, we have created a Virtual Code of Conduct. We respectfully ask that you review it in its entirety and govern yourself accordingly.

Harassment Free Zone
We are committed to providing a harassment-free environment for all participants regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, religion, political affiliation or disability. Please avoid the use of lewd or offensive language including but not limited to sexually explicit language or conduct, profanity, obscene gestures, or racial, religious or ethnic slurs.

Media
Although we encourage you to share your experiences at the Summit, inappropriate images, videos and other types of media will not be tolerated and will be swiftly deleted.

Behavior
Our speakers have dedicated their time and talent to our Summit. We ask that you do not cause any type of disruptions during sessions, events or virtual meetups. All participants must comply with the instructions of the room moderator and NAPE Staff.

Solicitation
We are excited about your accomplishments and opportunities you may want to share; however, we cannot allow the publicizing of job offers, promotional materials, product sales, or solicitation for services during your sessions or in the discussion boards. These messages will be removed.

Privacy and Security
It is important to respect everyone’s space and intellectual property. Attendees should refrain from taking screenshots of conversations in chat rooms, Q&As and in any other publicly shared spaces.

Community Boards
Due to the number of attendees, we are limiting the number of discussion topics. Before adding new topics, please view the list to see if your comment can be added to an existing conversation. We may merge and, on occasion, remove discussions to allow for new sharing. Remember, topics should be user-friendly and not offensive. Any topic that does not follow this standard will be deleted.

Consequences of Violations of Code of Conduct
NAPE reserves the right to take action for the failure of a participant to adhere to these expectations. This can include the immediate removal from the Summit without refund. If you have any questions, concerns or to report a violation, contact us at summit@napequity.org or at 717.799.3839.
