Family Consumer Studies Teacher, Roseburg School District
Sheri Carson is a Family and Consumer Science Instructor with an emphasis on culinary arts, hospitality, tourism and recreation. She received her AA in general education from Umpqua Community College in 1993. In 1996 she received her BS in health/physical education from Western Oregon University. She earned another 75 graduate credits though Southern Oregon University and Grand Canyon University. In 1998 she became the FCCLA Advisor during her first year of instruction at Roseburg High School. Carson became the first female CTE Division Leader and Perkins Grant Coordinator for Roseburg Public Schools in 2014. Having co-owned her family construction company she has a very diverse background, which helps her with both the education and the business aspects. She has been a Flagging Instructor for 25 years, American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor for 27 years, and the former Traffic Control Supervisor for 12 years. All of these experiences have fueled her passion for CTE. She is extremely committed to re-building and expanding Roseburg High School’s CTE Department.
